Anodizing

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that transforms the aluminium surface into a durable aluminium oxide layer, providing superior protection and enhanced aesthetics.

Firestone Metal Pvt Ltd operates 24 processing tanks, delivering anodized coatings of up to 25 microns in thickness, with a total annual capacity of 2,400 metric tonnes. The plant is capable of processing extrusions up to 6 metres in length. Standard, colour, and shot-blasting finishes are available, supporting diverse architectural and industrial specifications.

From billet to finished product, Firestone Metal Pvt Ltd's advanced surface treatment capabilities include:

  • Brushing
  • Degreasing
  • Etching
  • Desmutting
  • Colouring (Optional)
  • Electro-colour
  • Sealing
  • Sulfuric acid anodizing
  • Anodizing
  • Customized Finishing Solutions
  • Final Inspection

The Core Stage — Sulphuric Anodizing

"The anodizing tank is where aluminium transforms. Every litre of bath capacity, every degree of temperature control, every amp of current directly determines the quality of the final oxide layer."

Our Process Advantage

Precision-Controlled Process — Each tank stage (degreasing, etching, anodizing, sealing) is monitored with exact concentration, temperature, and volume parameters ensuring consistent output quality.
Multi-Stage Quality Process — From chemical degreasing to hot sealing, our Multi-stage anodizing line ensures maximum adhesion, colour depth, and surface integrity.
In-House Testing & Addition Control — Regular tank testing with documented chemical additions ensures every batch meets standard GPL (grams per litre) specifications.
Colour & Aesthetic Flexibility — Electro-colouring processes deliver rich, uniform shades (brown, black, gold) that are fade-resistant and UV stable.
Custom Colour Capability — Electro-colour process delivers architectural dark champagne, black, Silver, and custom shades as per client requirement.
Optimized Tank Architecture — Large-format tank dimensions engineered specifically for sulphuric anodizing operations, ensuring uniform electrolyte distribution and consistent layer formation.

Anodizing Advantages :

Anodized aluminum extrusions offer a superior surface treatment that delivers long-term performance and aesthetic value across a range of industrial and commercial applications.

Exceptional Durability:

Anodizing creates a robust, integrated surface finish that resists flaking, chipping, or peeling, ensuring long-term performance and appearance.

Superior Fabrication and Handling:

Unlike painted finishes, anodized extrusions are highly resistant to marring during fabrication. Abrasive wear during shipping, installation, and handling is virtually eliminated.

Long-Term Color Stability:

The advanced sealing process in anodizing ensures exceptional color retention, keeping your extrusions looking fresh and vibrant from the factory for years to come.
